Summary: The Box Scene AU; Blaine proposes. Kurt says yes. They immediately tell everyone.
Blaine murmurs again, “Look at me, angel.” and kisses him on top of the head, through the hood. The Ghost swallows. And Kurt raises his face, Kurt kneeling there in front of him very, very maskless in his full costume, Kurt nakedly scared, as Blaine cups his cheeks, brushes them with his thumbs as his eyes close… (x)
Comfort sex with each other after break ups with other people is their ’thing’ now. But then truth time happens.
“Well.” Kurt licks his lips, smoothing a hand down his belly, and sighing happily as he lets his eyes slip shut. “That was delicious.”
He hears Blaine snort on a laugh. “Are you ever going to stop referring to sex with me as delicious? I’m a person, Kurt. Not a slice of cake.”
“You are a delicious person,” Kurt insists, eyes still closed as he blindly turns and loops his arm around Blaine’s waist. “If we were in a porno right now, this would be the part where I’d make a really lame pun about your tasty dick.”
“I love when you throw your filter out the window,” Blaine says, his hand lightly smoothing down Kurt’s back. “I like this you.”
“Post break up, pathetic, and needy?” Kurt scoffs. “I know I’m fabulous Blaine, but really - these aren’t my best moments.”

I’m not going to lie. It feels so strange, writing to your new email address. I guess that were we to pick something that marks the beginning of another era, this would be it. I know YOU’d definitely pick some of the “more pivotal moments”, like you finally moving in, Brody finally moving out, or the first time Rachel walked in on us having sex in the bathroom…

Funny how time flies at the beginning of every year. You don’t even have a chance to adjust and 2016 already feels *right*. It’s like when your birthday is nearing and you think to yourself, “Ugh, 21, well that feels awfully wrong!”, but as soon as that day rolls around, saying you’re 20 suddenly feels like wearing a sweater that’s one size too small (and while in some cases that could be flattering, it might also cut off your blood flow).
In any case, this obnoxiously fast running January is not making me miss you any less. It’s just making me miss you faster. Yesterday morning I woke up nearly hanging down the right side of my bed. Funny how we only spent few nights together and I’m already automatically making space for you, even if my bed is too small.
Does that freak you out?
Anonymous prompted: I really really want a fic where it’s Kurt who cheats and not Blaine, can you make that happen, please?
“No no no, this is cheating, Kurt — ” Blaine says and grabs for Kurt’s arm when he tries to get away.
“It’s not! Blaine, seriously, I wasn’t — let go of me!” Kurt says, voice getting defensive as he squirms and tries to get out of Blaine’s hold, only to have Blaine tightening his grip on Kurt’s wrist.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to all of you for giving me the best Christmas present I could ever imagine. I’d describe you what happened at the airport, but words wouldn’t make it justice. It was like the ending scene of Love, Actually, when Martine McCutcheon jumps into Hugh Grant’s arms and kisses him so hard she smears her lipstick all over his face (only I wasn’t wearing lipstick and there were no Beach Boys playing in the background).

People say you have to live in New York for at least 10 years to become a New Yorker.
I never felt like Ohio was my home, but if I’m not allowed to be home in New York yet… where *do* I belong, then? Am I spiritually homeless? Does it really depend on the amount of *time* you spend somewhere? Shouldn’t one of the variables be how many friends you’ve made there? Or how many times you’ve held somebody’s hair while they threw up cosmopolitan all over your shoes (total count: 5, from witch 3 times was Rachel, once Isabelle and once Brody)?
I can’t find the post that inspired this now but here’s some famous!Kurt and fan!Blaine with bonus Santana.
“Blaine, why am I here?”
“Because you’re giving me friendly support while I meet a famous author,” Blaine muttered. “And don’t you dare say anything about me wanting to get in his pants - we’re in public.”
“Well, it’s true,” Santana huffed. “I still can’t believe you made me wait in line for hours with you. I knew there were a lot of teenage girls in New York, but damn.”

Funny how as the nights get longer and the world gets darker, New York just seems lighter and brighter every day.
Even here in Bushwick, people went sort of overboard with Christmas decorations. Imagine slipping out of the door at 6 AM, still shaky because your coffee haven’t had the chance to kick in yet, only to come face to face with a giant glowing snowman made of plastic. Then on the L train, an elf (in a full costume complete with a pointy hat and stripy stockings) sits down next to you and proceeds to read Christmas Carol on his Kindle with a clip-on torchlight.
I was still shaking my head in disbelief when I got off. There was a group of buskers outside the subway playing Happy Christmas (War is Over) on buckets.
It’s days like this I wish my life was a rom com with a Meg Ryan voiceover.
so Jo wanted an AU where Kurt is a famous author and Blaine is a fan and they meet at Kurt’s book signing. So. Here it is!
A Barnes and Noble in Columbus is the closest place in Ohio that Kurt would commit going to on his book tour. Doing the signing in Lima wouldn’t have made much sense anyways, even if Kurt were willing to go back there, mostly because of its small size. And the only book store was an admittedly cute mom and pop shop - it would definitely not fit all of Kurt’s fans.
Besides, having the author of a tell all book completely putting McKinley High School through the ringer probably wasn’t something the town wanted either.
“Mr. Hummel, another five minutes and you can go out.” Kurt looks up and smiles at the manager for the book store, who looks a little nervous around him.
“Sounds great,” he says, sending one more text to Rachel, who is back in New York and asking him where the extra sugar is in their apartment, of all things.
When, three years ago, Kurt somehow broke onto the Broadway scene in an amazing first role, suddenly his name was known. He had won the Tony the next year for for best supporting and since has been offered role after role. Though he was technically unique in his voice, Kurt seemed to fit well a variety of roles.
Since he first became more known in the Broadway community, people actually wanted to hear his story. How, at 18, he’d made it on the stage. And how, now, at almost 21, was just gaining more steam.
So, at the suggestion of his agent, Kurt wrote a book.
It was something like a memoir, mostly just talking about how he’d gotten interested in performing. Kurt spoke about his mother’s influence and even the pretty positive effects the Glee club at his high school had on shaping him into a good singer and performer - mostly because he was so good at competing with Rachel for solos. After that, auditions for Broadway directors seemed like nothing.
Of course, there was the more negative life experience that also shaped who he was today. Growing up gay in Lima - in McKinley, especially. Kurt didn’t hold anything back with his pen, just like his spoken words, and people seemed to like that. Which had then lead to the book tour he was now on to sign fans’ books. Seven stops in all, it was a busy week and a half.

It’s the Upper West Side vibe around this time of year. That and you’re… well… lonely.

I’m not. I’ve got 24 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and a furry friend.
